Position Summary
In this position, you’ll be responsible for developing beautiful, easy to use apps using frameworks like Next.js. We’re looking for developers who get excited about building software that solves interesting problems. We’re a team of developers that want to build things that work well and look really good.
Join a team of other self-motivated individuals who excel at their craft. We take pride in the work we do and get excited about solving problems. We only hire drivers (not passengers) and developers with lots of experience.
Things you might be doing in this role…
- Work alongside talented developers to build easy to use, great looking sites and apps
- Build a game show for TV using Next.js
- Build middleware to connect a legacy ERP system to a modern e-commerce platform
- Work with designers to develop a new React Native app
Experience Required
- Expert React with a solid understanding of the render process and hooks
- Building apps with Node.js and TypeScript (we like Next.js)
- Deploying and maintaining large applications
- Using various hosting solutions like Vercel, AWS, and Google Cloud
- Expert level experience in HTML/CSS/JS (keyword: “expert”). We ❤️ Tailwind.
- Expert writer that prefers emails to meetings (a default job requirement at SKYCATCHFIRE)
- Portfolio to show you’re a living, breathing developer, actively developing websites and apps
- Detail oriented with the ability to self manage a task from start to finish
Experience Bonus Points
- Stacks such as Python, PHP, .NET
- React Native
- WordPress or other CMS solutions
- Multi-tenant architecture
- Mad `/giphy` skills on Slack (or a desire to learn)
